The package, called =93PSYCHOACOUSTICS=94, wa= s written by Aleksander P. S=EAk and Brian C. J. Moore. The software runs o= n any PC (not Apple) with a good-quality sound card (preferably an external= sound card) and a set of headphones. Use of the software does not require = any specialised programming skills. The software should be useful for stude= nts of psychoacoustics and related disciplines, such as audiology and audio= engineering, who want to try psychoacoustic experiments for themselves. Th= e software should also be useful for researchers who want to run experiment= s without the need to spend time writing computer software to generate the = stimuli, run the experiment, and gather the data. The software can be downloaded from http://ia.amu.edu.pl/psychoacoustics<http://ia.amu.edu.pl/psychoacoustics/> or https://www.psychol.cam.ac.uk/hearing Comprehensive instructions for using the software, including the initial ca= libration procedure, are contained in a new and remarkably cheap book: S=EA= k, A. P., and Moore, B. C. J. (2021). Guide to PSYCHOACOUSTICS (Adam Mickie= wicz University Press, Poznan, Poland), pp. 348. DOI: 10.14746/amup.9788323= 239321<https://doi.org/10.14746/amup.9788323239321> Within a single volume, the book contains a version in Polish and a version= in English. You can buy the book via the publisher's website: https://press.amu.edu.pl/en/wprowadzenie%20do%20pakietu%20psychoacoustics%2= 0(pdf).html Click on the small EN at the top of the web page to get some of the informa= tion in English. We hope that you will find the software useful. Aleksander P. S=EAk and Brian C. J. Moore Prof. Brian C. J. Moore, Ph.D., PFBSA, FMedSci, FRS, Dr. h.c.
