Dear Colleagues,

A gentle reminder that the deadline for submitting peer-reviewed full-paper contributions to this year’s Forum Acusticum is drawing close (full-paper submission closes 31st March 2026).

Forum Acusticum 2026 (FA2026) will be held in from 812 September in the historic city of Graz, near the Austrian Alps. FA2026 will be coordinated by the Austrian Acoustical Association on behalf of the European Acoustics Association (EAA). Forum Acusticum is a world-leading congress in the field of acoustics, auditory perception and audiology.

As a reminder, Forum Acusticum offers two contribution formats:
Both publication types will receive a DOI and will be openly accessible on the DEAL platform of the EAA. Further information on the submission process and deadlines can be found here. Submissions should be made through the FA2026 Submission System.

This year, Forum Acusticum will feature a number of dedicated sessions focussing on complex auditory perception and how auditory perceptual processes are affected by hearing loss (Area 14 and 15). The programme will incorporate sessions on perceptual, physiological and non-invasive measures, offering cutting-edge insights into auditory mechanisms and dysfunction. Further information on Areas, Programme and Venue can be found on the FA2026 website

We would like to draw your particular attention to Session A14.05: Neural substrates of complex auditory perception and auditory scene analysis, which aims to bring together neuroimaging, electro- and neurophysiological perspectives on complex auditory perception, auditory cognition and adaptation. Please feel free to contact either Joseph Sollini or myself for further information.

Best Wishes
Katrin Krumbholz
