[AUDITORY] Call for Papers: Forum Acusticum 2026 Graz, Austria; A19 – Product Sound Quality and Sound-Driven Design

Dear Auditory-list members,
as a gentle reminder (and apologize for multiple posting) :

⭐ We are pleased to invite "abstract" contributions to A19 – Product Sound Quality and Sound-Driven Design, a thematic track at Forum Acusticum 2026 in Graz, Austria (8–12 September 2026).

This session seeks research that advances sound quality, sound-driven design, and listening-centric approaches across products, systems, and environments.

👇 Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Applied sound-driven design and evidence-based case studies

• Listening experience as a design element and perceptual investigations

• Methodologies and tools for integrating sound in design practice and education

• Technical and perceptual dimensions of sound quality assessment

• Sonification/visualization methods in acoustics and design processes

The objective of our track (A19) is to promote a human-centered design culture that places listening at the core of product and system innovation — bridging technical sound quality evaluation with perceptual, cognitive, and experiential considerations.

Researchers, practitioners, and scholars from acoustics, auditory perception, design research, sound studies, engineering, human factors, and related fields are encouraged to submit. We welcome contributions that push the boundaries of sound-driven design and enrich our understanding of sonic experience in real-world contexts.

Abstract contributions with a follow up full-paper (not peer-reviewed) will be published in the in Documenta of Forum Acusticum 2026 with a DOI number assigned.

📅 Important upcoming dates (FA2026):

• Full-paper (peer-reviewed) deadline: Closed

• Title/abstract deadline: 30 April 2026

• Notification of acceptance: 01.06.2026

• Final Paper Deadline (revised full papers, non-reviewed documents): 15.07.2026
