Dear List Members,

Manchester Centre for Audiology and Deafness (ManCAD) at The University of Manchester is seeking an outstanding and collaborative individual to join our team as Research Professor of Audiology in a full‑time, permanent Professorial capacity.

The role offers an exceptional opportunity to provide strategic leadership in research and mentoring within ManCAD and across the university.

You will work closely with the Director of ManCAD to develop and deliver an internationally leading research portfolio in audiology.

In addition, you will co‑lead the Hearing Health theme of the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre, contributing to translational research that improves outcomes for people with hearing loss and those who are Deaf.

You will be responsible for:

Leading and delivering a high‑impact, externally funded research programme in audiology or a closely related discipline
Providing strategic research leadership within ManCAD and the NIHR Manchester BRC Hearing Health theme
Producing and disseminating research outputs of national and international standing
Mentoring early‑career researchers and supervising postgraduate research students
Building interdisciplinary collaborations within the University and with external partners, including clinical, policy and industry stakeholders
