The workshop will be held *at Ircam (Paris) on Thursday, November 19th,=20 2026*, as a meeting of the CNRS special group on signal and image=20 processing (GDR IASIS). The other two organizers are Mathieu Lagrange=20 and Thomas H=C3=A9lie. The full announcement is below my signature. Confirmed speakers: * Henkjan Honing, University of Amsterdam * =C3=89tienne Thoret, CNRS / Institut de Neurosciences de la Timone * Giorgia Cantisani, CNRS / Ircam * Ugo Boscain, CNRS / Sorbonne Universit=C3=A9 * F=C3=A9licie Levinton, ENS Paris *Registration is free but mandatory:*=20 https://gdr-iasis.cnrs.fr/reunions/perception-et-cognition-auditive/ Important! For *online registration*, tick the box: Cochez si vous=20 souhaitez participer en distanciel. *If you wish to present a poster*, please write to Vincent Lostanlen at=20 vincent.lostanlen (@xxxxxxxx) ls2n.fr as soon as possible, providing a title.=20 Posters are preferably in English. In preparation for the day, poster=20 presenters will be asked for a title and an =E2=80=9Caudiocarnet=E2=80=9D= : that is, an=20 audio file of about one minute giving the sounds on which the poster is=20 based. Please upload your audiocarnet on the HAL platform before=20 November 7th. For examples of audiocarnets already published, see:=20 https://hal.science/AUDIOCARNET Please share this announcement with anyone interested, especially those=20 of your students who might be willing to present a poster. Sincerely, Vincent Lostanlen. (scientist at CNRS, affiliated to LS2N in Nantes) Hearing remains an enigma for the biological and medical=20 sciences=E2=80=94particularly physiology, neuroscience, and cognitive=20 psychology. Historically, experimental protocols regarding hearing have=20 relied on the design of specialized scientific instruments, especially=20 for the synthesis and transformation of sound stimuli. Today, in the age=20 of big data and high-performance computing, these protocols employ=20 increasingly sophisticated digital technologies. This creates new=20 research challenges for signal processing=E2=80=94not only for digital au= dio=20 signals but also for multimodal integration with electrophysiological=20 signals (EEG, MEG, fMRI, ECoG). Methodologically, the field encompasses=20 both classical time-frequency analysis and more recent deep learning=20 techniques. In terms of applications, key topics include perceptual=20 coding and source separation, alongside specialized areas such as=20 assistive technologies for individuals with disabilities or reduced=20 autonomy. Against this backdrop, the aim of this event is to provide an overview=20 of current research into auditory perception and cognition from a signal=20 processing perspective. We welcome specialists from all subfields of=20 hearing science, ranging from neurophysiological foundations to=20 psychological, aesthetic, linguistic, and social dimensions.=20 Furthermore, the scope of the event extends beyond "machine listening"=20 models to include a wide range of computational models informed by=20 knowledge of hearing. Finally, we intend for this event to foster an=20 exchange between technological innovation in audio and open questions=20 regarding auditory perception and cognition=E2=80=94such as attention,=20 anticipation, and familiarity. --------------Y4r2SfKLI3MFEg1pfpWpUJ5p Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

<meta http-equiv=3D"content-type" content=3D"text/html; charset=3DUTF= -8">

<font size=3D"4">Hello everyone,

<font size=3D"4">I am co-organizing a 1-day hybrid workshop on auditory perception and cognition.

<font size=3D"4">The workshop will be held at Ircam (Paris) on Thursday, November 19th, 2026, as a meeting of the CNRS special group on signal and image processing (GDR IASIS).
