IFMR Accepting Research Pre-Proposals

Here's a follow-up message from Norm Weinberger about the new grants
being offered by the International Foundation for Music Research.

Applications for research support are now being accepted by the
International Foundation for Music Research. There is a two-stage
process: brief pre-proposals are invited from all interested
researchers, followed by selective invitation for submission of
complete research project requests.  The dealines for pre-proposals
are November 1, 1998 and May 1, 1999.

Further information and instructions for submitting pre-proposals can
be downloaded from the Foundation's Website,
http://www.music-research.org.
