OPEN POSITION – ASSISTANT, ASSOCIATE, OR FULL PROFESSOR
AUDIOLOGY, HEARING SCIENCE, OR RELATED FIELD


The Department of Communicative Disorders at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is recruiting an individual with a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in audiology, communication sciences and disorders, or a related field such as experimental psychology or bioengineering. Applicants with two or more years of academic and research experience are preferred, but recent doctoral graduates are welcome to apply. The rank of the position will be either Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, depending on the qualifications of the successful applicant. Applications must be received by December 31, 1999, and it is expected that the position will be filled for the 2000-2001 academic year.

Qualifications

Persons with expertise in any area of audiology, hearing science, or a related field will be considered. Preference will be given to applicants who have interest in amplification, assistive listening technology or related areas. However, highly qualified candidates with other interests in audiology or hearing science are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the position include teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, advising students, developing a research program, supervising student research, and serving on department committees. It is expected that the successful applicant will seek extramural research funding.
