Re: DAT recorder



I'd skip the middleman and look for a direct-to-digital recorder - I
have a Marantz PMD-670 which runs about $700, but it's fairly portable
and allows for 2-channel recording. You can store your files on it as
you go and dump them to a hard drive later, or there's an option to have
a CD burner on-board so that you can burn them in the field. I've only
used this in my booth, and we dump to a PC after each recording session.
