Professor position in auditory cognitive neuroscience

The Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts and Sciences of the University of Montreal, is now offering a tenure-track academic position at the level of assistant or associate professor in the field of auditory cognitive neuroscience. The position is for an exceptional scientist with expertise in the areas of cognitive science or neuroscience, and a research focus on music, speech, voice, or auditory processing. The candidate’s research interests must be compatible with those of the International Laboratory of Brain, Music and Sound Research (BRAMS; http://www.brams.org) that is jointly affiliated with the Montreal Neurological Institute, the Schulich school of Music of McGill University, and the University of Montreal. BRAMS is a recent research consortium located in a new 1,500 square-meter space, dedicated to research, containing office space and conference rooms, sound-treated test labs, anechoic chamber, audio recording facilities, and EEG labs, with facilitated access to neuroimaging facilities (MEG, fMRI, and TMS) located elsewhere.

Courses are taught in French, and thus there will be a suitable time frame allowed for non-francophone candidates to acquire sufficient skill to teach in French.
