Re: teaching acoustics to a student with low vision

You might want to contact Dr. Sile O'Modhrain (pronounced "Sheila
O'Morrin") whom I met at Media Lab Europe (now defunct), in Dublin,
several years ago.  Sile is a blind audio engineer who did a thesis in
music technology at CCRMA.  She has, among other things, worked on
haptic interfaces to help the blind visualize waveforms, etc.

I don't know whether she's still there.  Somebody at CCRMA, such as
