>Dear Friends,
>The University of Iowa Musical Instrument Samples website is moving to
>a new server next week. The domain name will remain
>theremin.music.uiowa.edu/MIS.html. As many of you know, this is a
>collection of 22 orchestral instruments recorded in an anechoic chamber,
>playing note-by-note at 3 dynamic levels. They may be freely used for
>any purpose whatsoever. By my count, some 220 papers have used the
>samples since 1997. If you could send me the titles of your papers in
>the future, I would greatly appreciate it. I use this info for grants.
>Thank you for your patience during this transition. May I ask for a
>moment of silence in the passing of our old Apple Xserve, which had
>been running almost nonstop since 2002 :)
