[AUDITORY] [Comprehension of Sounds] 17-minute online #survey

Dear list,

(sorry for cross-posting)

I am writing on behalf of a research team currently researching and redesigning medical auditory alarms (Paterson Project).

We would like to have your feedback regarding sounds that may be used to design better auditory alarm signals for medical equipment.

We would like to gather responses mainly from healthcare professionals.

If you are not a healthcare professional but still would like to take part on the survey, we appreciate your help and will categorize you as “non-healthcare professional” in our data analysis. Your responses will be analyzed.

Our online survey takes 17 minutes on average to fill, and has two parts:

1 – Comprehension. You will hear 15 sounds and write down (free text) what it makes you think of, considering a medical context.

2 – Association. You will hear the same 15 sounds again, tell us to which alarm category you think it may be associated (single choice) and receive some feedback after your evaluation.

We thank you very much in advance, and wish you a happy 2021!
