Re: [AUDITORY] Virtual reality equipment

Hi Mila,

that of course depends very much on which aspects of auditory perception you want to study...
We're also using TASCAR, in combination with WorldViz Vizard, to present dynamic and interactive audio-visual simulations of traffic scenes, and study the role of auditory perception for time-to-collision judgments and street crossing decisions.
In another project, we're using Unity in combination with RAVEN (e.g., https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/2331216518800871 ) and Virtual Acoustics (http://www.virtualacoustics.org/) to present audio-visual simulations of interior spaces.
The first project uses higher-order Ambisonics rending on an array of loudspeakers, the second uses headphones (Sennheiser HD650) and head-tracking. For the visual displays, we use the Vive Pro.

Best
