I am writing to inquire whether colleagues with relevant experience have recommendations on appropriate visual/audiovisual materials for the purpose of human training/learning to promote speechreading (lipreading) abilities, such as
(but not limited to) database/corpus that researchers can access? They should be in English (or in other languages that we can refer to if there is no English version of it). Any suggestions about currently accessible software/app would be great as well.
I am aware of some publicly available audiovisual database (LRW and LRS of Oxford and GRID of Sheffield), however, they are all for machine training and recognition purposes and seemingly much less suitable for human training/learning.
