I work at an autonomous car company and we are looking to do some binaural recording and rendering of audio using Ambisonics mics. I have a few questions:
1) Subjectively, when would you recommend using a SOA vs FOA mic?
2) Also, for sound source tracking, are there any resources showing the beam width comparing the different orders of ambisonics?
3) Wind noise reduction is super important for us because the environments we use are outdoors and the vehicle moves, so any tips on how to minimize this?
Would also love to know if you have any specific mic recommendations from any manufacturers.
