Dear Auditory List Members,

We are happy to invite you to our interactive Workshop on Audio-Visual Analytics at the Audio Mostly 2021 conference this Friday on the 3rd of September at 2:30 pm CEST (Vienna). It will be a fully virtual workshop. We will discuss and identify Research Gaps for Integrating Sonification and Visualization. The workshop is open to everybody, and there is no registration needed for participation.

Our workshop will start on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCp8hfYyfdnWqOd7p6ccw-g (choose Day3)), and after 20 minutes of introduction, we will invite you to join a private Zoom session without streaming. We will then discuss Theory, Design Process, Tools, and Evaluation in four groups using breakout rooms and Miro (an online whiteboard tool). We will present our findings to the other groups and discuss how to build a community of researchers that are interested in the combination of Sonification and Visualization. The workshop and its follow-up event at IEEE VIS are planned as the kick-off event to work on a follow-up publication on the research agenda discussed in the workshops. This follow-up publication will be authored by a self-selected subset of workshop participants and organizers.
