Re: Molding of pinna for dummy head



We made a few years ago dummy cat ears for recording HRTFs. First we
used Xantopren Blue (Bayer Dental) to make the 'negative', then we used
a mixture of dissolved silicon and glass fibers that we applied with a
brush to the surface of the negative. For humans, it's the first step
that had some dangers, I would do it under the supervision of an ear
specialist. You should be careful not to push the mold material too far
into the ear canal!
