Visiting Professor, Assistant or Associate � Audiology

 

The Department of Speech and Hearing Science at The Ohio State University invites applications for a visiting faculty position (non-tenure track) to be filled for the 2009 � 2010 academic year.  The position is at the level of an Assistant or Associate Professor (possibly a Professor on a sabbatical leave or in retirement) for a 9-month (academic year) appointment beginning Autumn Quarter  (September), renewable for a second year.  Qualifications include an earned Ph.D. in Audiology, Hearing Science or related field, preferred; an AuD will be considered.  Evidence of excellence in teaching and research in any area of Audiology.  Documented expertise in clinical applications of electrophysiology, otoacoustic emission, or tympanometry is desirable.  Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in audiology and the AuD program, advising graduate students (AuD/PhD), and participating in related scholarly activities. Conduct of research in area of expertise encouraged.  Salary is negotiable and competitive.  The University offers an excellent benefits package which allows for flexibility in selecting health, dental and vision-care, life insurance, and retirement benefits.
