[AUDITORY] Seminar announcement - March 16th - E.A.R.S. (Electronic Auditory Research Seminars)

Dear fellow neuroscientists,

We would like to invite you to join us on Tuesday, March 16th at 1:00 pm ET for the next edition of E.A.R.S. (Electronic Auditory Research Seminars), a monthly auditory seminar series with the focus on central auditory processing and circuits. Please pre-register (for free) and tune in via Crowdcast (enter your email to receive the link for the talk): https://www.crowdcast.io/e/ears/7
(Note: for optimal performance, we recommend using Google Chrome as your browser).

This session will feature several short talks from trainees:
  • Alice Burghard (UConn Health | Oliver Lab): "Long-duration sound evoked afterdischarge – just some neurons that have missed their stop cue?"
  • Mateo Lopez-Espejo (Oregon Health and Science University | David Lab): "Temporal integration and contextual discrimination in neuronal populations of the auditory cortex"
  • Chase Mackey (Vanderbilt University | Ramachandran Lab): "Hierarchical characterization of temporal integration in the subcortical auditory system of rhesus macaques"
  • Alice Milne (University College London | Chait Lab): "Sustained pupil responses are modulated by predictability of auditory sequences"
  • Nihaad Paraouty (New York University | Sanes Lab): "Social learning enhances stimulus representations in the auditory cortex"
  • Magdalena Solyga (Basel University | Rinaldi Barkat Lab): "Emergence and function of cortical offset responses in sound termination detection"
With kind wishes,
